Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

As stated in summary, when i'm in the trash location it would be useful to have in the top bar (where there is the "empty trash" button) a button to quickly restore the selected elements.

Cheers Davide

This bug is an upstream one and it would be quite helpful if somebody experiencing it could send the bug the to the people writing the software. You can learn more about how to do this for various upstreams at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME . Thanks in advance!

Upstream developer Cosimo Cecchi marked the bug as 'Won't Fix' and gave the following reason:
"You can restore files by selecting some of them and choosing "Restore" from the
context menu, or selecting Edit->Restore from the top menu.

I don't think restoring *all* the contents of the trash is such a common
operation to introduce a new button in the top bar, so closing as WONTFIX."
I think I agree with Cosimo Cecchi; people rarely want to restore all the files in the trash, it's not worth the trouble and the clutter of the extra button.

If you want to restore all files you could always use Select All and then Restore.

After a comment from the original reported on the upstream bug report, explaining what he actually meant with his request, the developer implemented it.

This feature is now in 'master', so I'm setting the status to Fix Committed as per Ubuntu Desktop Team policy.
