Bug Description
Binary package hint: empathy
When status is "available", status messages work fine (although it would be nice if web addresses would be clickable in status messages), but when status is set to "Busy" or "Away", the custom status message does not appear, although it was freshly set.
Note: the same problem is occures with Pidgin. Is it a coincidence, or it is not because of the IM client?

Thanks for your bug report and helping to make Ubuntu better. I believe this is fixed in the most recent version of empathy. Please try installing empathy from the telepathy PPA at https:/ /edge.launchpad .net/~telepathy /+archive/ ppa?field. series_ filter= karmic and verify that it is.
