Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

gnome-control-center was available since 8.04 as a top level item when editing the "System" menu - Unfortunately I have to run it from the command line on Lucid Beta 1. This is a usability regression vs 9.10 and 8.04.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

Right click on gnome-panel->"System" menu
Select "Edit Menus"
Click on "System" menu

"Items" list used to show "Preferences", "Administration", AND "Control Center"
This has been true for the previous four versions of Ubuntu

"Items" list now shows "Preferences", "Administration"
"Control Center" is missing from the list.

This is purely a user experience regression, but the fix should be trivial to implement.

It would be _nice_ if the menu item were enabled by default. :-)
