Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug in xorg.
For future reference you might be interested to know that a lot of applications have bug reporting functionality built in to them. This can be accessed via the Report a Problem option in the Help menu for the application with which you are having an issue. You can learn more about this feature at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

After an update:
 (II) Module intel: vendor="X.Org Foundation"
- compiled for 1.7.5.902, module version = 2.10.902
+ compiled for 1.7.6, module version = 2.10.903
        Module class: X.Org Video Driver
ABI class: X.Org Video Driver, version 6.0

It does not crash back to the gdm login screen any more.
A more minor problem remains. When using nxclient, it is not possible to switch applications.
I.e. I cannot switch between the nxclient window and any other window. I.e. switch from the nxclient remote session and a local session of firefox. One has to exit nxclient before one can do other tasks.
Normally, I would expect the nxclient window to just be another application window with one being able to minimise nxclient and use firefox instead.

Unfortunately without any logs we can't dig into it much deeper, and from what you have posted I can see you are using xorg-edgers which is prone to breakage given the daily updates. If possible, can you please install ppa-purge from there, then use ppa-purge to remove all xorg-edgers packages, reboot, then ensure you can reproduce this problem. If you can reproduce, please run apport-collect 547175 to attach the logs we will need automatically.
