Bug Description

I currently have "go to blank screen" in the preferences for when I close the lid to my laptop. My laptop has been coming to 100% brightness when I open the lid again. Now, my screen is dimmed, making it very hard to read when I open the lid. I have to reboot to get the 100% back or not close the lid. I have not made any changes to the power settings. What could I do to get the 100% back?

If i log out and log back in, the screen comes to 100%. I currently have all instances of screen brightness to 100%. I am running a Dell Inspiron 1501. I have not had this problem before. I have not loaded any new programs.
