Bug Description

Binary package hint: gdm

I've got about a 4-5 second delay for the login screen, it plays the drum sound and doesn't show the prompt for choosing the users but then after 5 seconds the user list comes up to choose. Also note the bottom bar does not appear either the screen only shows the purple image background.

2.6.32-16 Kernel

Hi aot2002,

Thanks for including an image to demonstrate the issue. Could you also please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn` and `dmesg`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log or Xorg.0.log.old file from after reproducing this issue. If you've using a custom /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.
