Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

in a "social desktop" environment in gnome, empathy should integrate smoothly.
yet i can not dock the contact list window to the desktop, there is no such functionality besides close, minimize, maximize and workspace settings.

the right desktop edge serves as the standard area for the contact list already, yet embedding the list into the desktop or docking it to the corner of my current workspace are not available options..

Thanks for your bug report and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug is a feature request and is being marked a wishlist because of that. It would be nice if you could send this upstream so that the developers of the software know about this as well. Please look at the instructions at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME

Changed in empathy (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
status: New → Incomplete

You can't. Only bug control members like myself have that ability.

this is a feature request which I dont think upstream is gonna implement. If Ubuntu might be interested in this in a way or the other an appropriate mailing list would be a better starting point than a bug report. closing this bug
