1) What operating system and CPU speed are you using?
2) What version of Mixxx are you using?
3) Does this problem happen on a specific type of file (e.g. MP3) or on all types of files? (e.g. FLAC, WAV, MP3, OGG)

Hello - I use a HP Pavilion 4000 laptop. I have 75% of unused space. My
version of mixxx is 1.7.2. This version of mixxx will only allow mp3 to
play.

I down loaded a new sound card from HP and I believe the problem may be
corrected.

Any insight from the information I submitted?

This has happened to me on a couple of different systems, both XP, both Mixxx 1.7.2, but with different sound cards. It's a maddenly intermittent problem, though. It frequently sounds like an LP playing off-center.

So far, the only thing that ever fixes it is rebooting, though that's not certain - and then the issue may not crop up again for weeks.

Other players are unaffected, BTW.

Make sure you have the latest sound card drivers. Also try Mixxx 1.8 beta1 and see if it occurs there too.

Also, this can commonly happen if you have your latency set too low. SJ, Bruce could you let me know what latency you are using when the problem occurs?
