Bug Description
Binary package hint: casper
There is no wallpaper when installing Kubuntu from a live image in Install Only mode. Probably whatever sets the wallpaper needs updated to the new file in Lucid (or a link added to a KDE package to make it a known file name).
Reporting on Casper but I can't remember if this is casper's responsibility or ubiquity or what.

I suspect that in fact nothing sets the background in the KDE case ...
