soldiers keep finding opponents when mission is accomplished

Bug Description

When attacking an Attackable and succeeding, soldiers keep finding new enemy soldiers to fight even after the target has been destroyed. This is a waste of life that should be avoided. The soldiers should return home as soon as their target has been destroyed.

It's the other way round: Defending soldiers will keep harassing the attacking soldiers even after those soldiers have completed their objective. If you look at it from the defending player's point of view, the behaviour suddenly doesn't sound so bad in principle, does it?

My point is that this behaviour is not a bug. The defending soldiers should probably be a little less aggressive, but this is simply a matter of tuning.

I saw my soldiers marching towards enemy soldiers. If they had turned home instead, they would not have died, since the enemy soldiers would not have caught up with them.

Indeed, in this case it would be better if the soldiers were waiting for the defending soldiers instead of walking towards them.

In the situation when our soldier is in the enemy territory without a mission and an enemy soldier is marching towards him, he should not waste the time by just waiting, but retreat. He might have enough time to move into the range of our archers (not implemented yet). That would give us an advantage. Then the enemy would probably stop the pursuit and go back home. This is very old stuff, this should be resolved. Attackers will enter new home and remaining attackers flee to the safety of home base to heal. Also defenders only pursue while they are in their own land.

There has been recent changes in the code that makes soldiers more clever. This can be considered fixed by them.
