Also seeing this problem since this morning (incidentally, this coincided with the start of the behaviour I described in bug #583214, don't know if the two could be related, though it seems somewhat unlikely).

The bug does not occur when I lock the screen (via the menu or ctrl-alt-l) and immediately unlock it. Only when the screensaver has kicked in.

I have this issue also.

I have the screensaver set to "Blank Screen" after 30 minutes. "Activate screensaver when computer is idle" and "Lock screen when screensaver is active" are both checked.

I have this bug on my laptop too. I am using CompizConfig and Avant Window Navigator as recent additions to my desktop. Bug #583214 is present as well. My distro is Ubuntu Lucid Linx 2.6.32-24-generic and I love it. I would like to know if it doesn't mean that my pc has been hacked.

Thanks!

Quite annoying.. i had it on 9.10. Then at some point it went away. Now it has appeared on my 10.04. I think it happened after some update, because there were few in the recent days.
