Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver

After having locked the screen and pressing a button (or moving the mouse pointer) and having unlocked the screen, X no longer accepts keyboard input, though I can still switch to the console using Ctrl+Alt+F[1-6].

If I open the keyboard preferences (System > Preferences > Keyboard), the keyboard works fine again.

The problem appears with the internal keyboard in my laptop, I haven't tried it on my desktop, since the problem only appeared this morning. This is on a fully updated lucid system.

I have this as well. I can clear the keyboard lock by rotating the compiz cube by mouse clicking on the display applet.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance and sorry for the late response.
