Bug Description

This bug was reported in "metacity" for Ubuntu Lucid Lynx, but seems to only persist for OpenShot, specifically. When a maximize action is taken (such as a double click on the window title or clicking on the "maximize" button) the window's appearance (such as the buttons and removal of rounded corners) switches correctly, but the actual size and position of the window doesn't change.

In short, The OpenShot window cannot be maximized.

I do not see the same behavior. When I maximize OpenShot, it maximizes
correctly. However, I have noticed on smaller screens (such as VirtualBox)
that because OpenShot's minimum width is greater than the screen size,
maximize breaks as you describe it. Because it is too big for the screen,
the maximize does not work.

What screen size are you working with?

Thanks,
-Jonathan

That explains it! I believe the screen resolution was 800x600, as is default for VirtualBox. Although I understand the desire to keep the minimum size reasonably large, it might be a quick fix to bring it down a little.
Thank you very much,
