Multiple RTM tasks with the same name are 'merged' in Astrid

I have five sets of slides I need to finish for five classes. So I set up five tasks. Sitting behind my computer already, I used the RTM web-interface. I gave all five tasks the same name, since the only information I need to differentiate them is the due date.

All five tasks show up nicely in RTM. But in Astrid, only the first task is shown. Presumably the name of a task is treated as a unique key.

Also, when I marked the first task as completed (in Astrid) and performed a manual sync on my phone, the sole visible Astrid task wasn't replaced with the next. It keeps the due date of the first. Presumably, Astrid thought there was nothing to sync.

Eh, sorry. For the third paragraph, replace (in Astrid) with (in RTM).

I'm now working around the problem by giving all five tasks a unique name.

I can confirm this behavior. Tasks with identical descriptions are critical to at least one tagging method that I and many others use. Thanks.

Believed we discussed this on GetSatisfaction. Just to let you know, we no
longer use Launchpad for anything except Translations.
