audio out of sync after using razor tool

I attempt to modify the volume of the clip by duplicating the clip and etc. But when I razor the audio, after the cut it goes out of sync with the video.

Codecs of my video: ITU H.264 and Dolby Digital (AC-3).
OS Name and Version: Ubuntu Karmic Koala (9.10)
Installation Method: PPA
Version of Openshot: OpenShot 1.1.0

Do you have to duplicate the clip? Have you tried leaving the audio and
video in a single clip and razoring that clip?

I get audio sync issues when using the Razor tool.
I am simply trying to cut the end of a .flv video off - nothing complicated.
The sound becomes completely morphed...

Confirmed this issue is related to the file format.
Converted my video from .flv into .mp4 and was able to edit without any audio problems.
