Bug Description
Binary package hint: totem
Ubuntu 9.10
Totem movie player 2.28.2 using GStreamer 0.10.25
/usr/bin/totem
When inserting a commercial DVD, the DVD drive reads the disc (audible noise).
After some seconds it stops. Movie player does not kick in by itself.
When started manually (applications/sound & video/Movie player) and opening the DVD or location....it re-reads the DVD but nothing else showing. I DO see a Disc icon on the desktop which diouble clicked shows the file browser for the disc content.
Hence, cannot play DVDś.

Have you installed libdvdcss2 from the Medibuntu repository? It is not installed by default, but once it is you should be able to play DVD's.
