The error here was:

 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of mythtv:
 mythtv depends on mythtv-database (= 0.22.0+fixes22594-0ubuntu1); however:
  Package mythtv-database is not configured yet.

Did you manually remove this file? The postinst rightfully failed because
it was missing.

This "bug" or missing file, comes up at every update. Still no resolution, if indeed it' relates to a missing file.

Does that file exist on your system? If not, can you try creating it?

Mine has the following information in it

 MythTV Backend setup and MythTV Frontend are both installed software. Would there be anything associated with them that needs to be installed?
