Unsent (delayed) message feature lack functionality

Bug Description
Binary package hint: thunderbird
Once message is marked to "send later" it is saved in "Unsent" folder
after that
1) It is not possible to send individual letters from "Unsent" folder, only all messages from the folder
2) If during sending all unsent letters error occures ( bad email addess or whatever)
the whole process stops and no further sending is possible without removing message with error from the folder.

Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.
You made this bug report in 2010 and there have been several versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
Or, if it is still a problem, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect 522607
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
