Bug Description

My issue is similar to the one reported as fixed in bug #349221. After resuming from suspend I can issue keyboard commands and move the mouse cursor (docky responds to the hover event, albeit with a delay), but cannot click or right-click anything. Restarting x solves the problem.
I use Karmic 64-bit with the nvidia 195.36.03 driver. Please let me know if I can attach further information that may help tracking the problem down.

After an upgrade to lucid, situation has worsened. Now resuming to suspend brings me to an unresponsive black screen. WIFI led is lit, so connection is made, but I cannot reset x with ctrl+backspace (been set to work) and cannot get a vt using ctrl+f#.
Kernel is 2.6.32-16.

Hi Yotam,

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

apport-collect -p linux 522270

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.

This bug seems to occur only when the suspend is an automatic result of closing the lid. When I suspend through the gnome panel, resume is working as expected.
