Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
Hi,
I think the summary says all I can say ... I tried wicd recently and I still got this problem but it happens more often with network-manager.
Nevertheless, net by wire does not have any problem. And wifi does not have any problem when I try it on Windows 7 so it's not a hardware problem.
Thanks for your job :)

Hi. Many thanks for your report. Before we proceed further I need a little more information. Does the Wifi link still disconnect if you just let the machine idle, or does it only disconnect when actively using the link?
Have you checked whether there are any other networks visible (or hidden) that might be operating on the same channel and causing contention? Is the problem more susceptible if you are further away from the access point?
Have you tried re-booting your access point to see if it has any affect on the problem (most modern routers will attempt to locate a free channel when re-booted, so if suffering from channel contention it can cure it).
Just trying to eliminate whether it is a problem with Ubuntu or simply a wireless access problem.
