shows conffile prompt on upgrade

Binary package hint: brltty

During a automatic upgrade from karmic to lucid the brltty package shows a config file prompt:

Setting to high because it breaks automatic testing via autotest/stepmaker.

In a clean chroot:

# apt-get install brltty
# md5sum /etc/default/brltty

In /var/lib/dpkg/status:

Comment #2 is wrong of course (jetlag!). The problem is only there in lucid, there /etc/default/brltty is added as a conffile with:

Package: brltty
Conffiles:
 /etc/default/brltty 5fc074088bb87145ece73c6c2d66d396

The karmic
# md5sum /etc/default/brltty
59911d8dcc8f4ad3cdc13e9845aa73a6 /etc/default/brltty

So on upgrade a prompt is triggered.

This bug was fixed in the package brltty - 4.1-2ubuntu5

  * debian/brltty.default:
    - add RUN_BRLTTY=no here instead of in the brltty.postinst
  * debian/brltty.postinst:
    - do not create /etc/default/brltty here, its part of the package
  * debian/brltty.preinst:
    - remove our (non conffile) version of /etc/default/brltty
      on upgrade
