Bug Description
Binary package hint: pitivi
The Pitivi package needs to create a translation template during the build process, so it can be uploaded to Launchpad Translations and translators can do their work.

Can someone explain how this works ? PiTiVi is currently being translated via the gnome translation project [0] [1]. Isn't this duplicating the workload ?
Also I'm pretty sure a .pot is built at compilation time.
