Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

Just type into a chat window and you should readily notice this: punctuation marks end up with fragments of the red spelling-error squiggles under them. I'll attach a screenshot.

I suspect this is a library bug, but reporting where I noticed it.

This is my first time using empathy. It looks quite nice otherwise.

Lucid suddenly became extremely unstable for me, so I blasted it and went
back to Karmic, and now can't reproduce this. It might still be there on
Lucid.
