From 8.04LTS to 9.10 everything.
This dnsbl is in all packages included.
I've seen, the bug was already reported to the SF page. But the last
release is from March 2008.

Robert Felber seem not longer to be active on it.
Does not matter, the programm is: Simply working.
But I've seen many are using it with the default settings.

Would be nice to remove this inactive list.

looking into http://changelogs.ubuntu.com/changelogs/pool/universe/p/policyd-weight/policyd-weight_0.1.14.17-5/changelog indicates, that this was fixed since 0.1.14.17-4 (in debian and ubuntu) which is shipped sincejaunty .
maybe you have a /etc/default/policyd-weight with modifications?

Oh, yes. Was an leftover from updating distribution.

But on 8.04LTS and Intrepid it is still there.
8.04LTS uses 0.1.14.17-1 and Intrepid 0.1.14.17-2

That could easiely solved with /etc/default/policyd-weight. Installing without reading documentation and understanding, what the software is doing, is nothing we can fix as (debian) distribution.

Speaking as debian maintainer of the package, Jan.

I know this.
But most simply install it and forget it....
Or have an look on the configuration, but not having the idea maybe I
should check from time to time if the blacklists are still working or
giving good results.

???? Confused.....
It is fixed it with 0.1.14.17-4 but releasing an update for Hardy LTS
and Jaunty is not possible?
Confused.....

Hi Andreas,

at first, I have nothing todo with ubuntu .... I'm just the maintainer of the package in the Debian distribution, where the package is used by Ubuntu without any changes. So I can nothing do for you within ubuntu.

Anyways ... back to the problem. Jaunty doesn't need to be fixed, it is fixed allready. (see http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=policyd-weight) So you problem is just hardy. I wouldn't say, this little problem qualifies for an update for a allready released distribution, but thats just my personal opinion. In debian we did decided[1] not to update the package for stable.

With kind regards, Jan.
