Bug Description

Ubuntu Netboook Remix 9.10 on Netbook Asus 1005PE. The kernel fault appears booting from pendrive (live) and also booting from hard disk once installed. I do not have more dates. Everything seems to be working all right (except wireless, but this other thing).

Thanks a lot.

Thanks for your kind reply.

When I posted the bug I was running the "factory default" BIOS. Apart of
the kernel error message everything seemed to be working, but I upgraded
it because i could not use touchpad nor keyboard once installed on the
hard disk (I am not sure about keyboard).

I looked for information in the web, found the solution in upgrade BIOS
and from now the system is working very well.

Probably the bug is dupe of other one.

If you need any information and I can help you in any way, it would be a
pleasure.

Thank you again (and sorry for my poor english).

Hi cocopirulo,

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

apport-collect -p linux 515215

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.
