Disabled YSlow add-on restarted and it worked fine. It seems that this is the issue...

Same problem here Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit firefox 3.5-7

Yslow disabled and now everything goes as expected.

This is a firefox bug due to something with Yslow extension.

BTW, what fix was realeased? I have my system updated today and the bug is still around....

If you update Yslow to the version 2.06, the problem goes away.

this actually crashes my whole computer, not just FF!
