Binary package hint: empathy

When a request to join a chat room is sent empathy neither gives a notification nor a new window (alert) to accept the chat room invitation.

Hi there,

  Try to send a chat room invitation from another chat client logged in as a
different user. For me my colleague send a chat room invitation from PIDGIN
(even from AIM chat client). But I didn't receive any of the chat request.

It's particularly frustrating for me because I use AIM for RPGs a lot and I can't get invites to the chat with Empathy.

The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME.
