Please explain in more detail what you mean by "does not work".
What did you do in detail, what did happen, what did you expect to happen?

When I "start a new game" and I chose the difficulty level the picture is jumping and the game stops.

Do you mean the game exits or does it no longer respond?
If you start the game from a terminal, are there any error messages?

If your home directory is almost empty, you might see an error like

Made 10,000 unsuccessful attempts to grab %d inactives directories!!

Please try creating some files and directories or start viruskiller with
the "-safemode" option in the case.

Regards,
Ansgar

This bug occurs when only a few files and directories exist in the home directory. I'm setting the importance to "low" as this should not affect many users.
