After opening empathy I am trying to create a new google talk account.
I enter my id and password and check encryption required, use old ssl, even
write talk.google com for server.
After that I press connect but the connection never gets established.
I do not get any error, just the connection never gets established.

Thank you for your attention, time and good will.

Dear sir,
I noticed that since I have installed Pidgin - Empathy was working.
If I uninstall Pidgin, after rebooting Empathy again does not work.
If I again install pidgin - Empathy works.
It seems that Empathy is using something from Pidgin to work on my computer.
Also, setting status from the indicator-applet-session does not work in
Empathy but works in Pidgin.

Thank you for your attention.

Hello!
I did everything according to your explanations and it seems that Empathy
works. I also tried to reboot again and again to try and it works! It just
needs to be activated twice, but it works!
Thank you very much!
