Installed from PPA
Openshot 0.9.54-0ubuntu4~ppa1k

Just to add to the above description: the segfault doesn't reproduce reliably with only two images, sometimes more need to be added. In the following I had to click up and down the timeline for about a minute adding more and more images (ended up with six).

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Can you confirm this still happens with version 1.0? Thanks!

OpenShot updated to v 1.0 and after opening a project, all I have to do is move the slider along the timeline and the program will segfault.

Also, there are no help files. If you run Help > Contents you get an error message that says:

Excellent progress.

I just did the update to V 1.1.0 from ppa and although the program still crashed, I found it only did so when it encountered a transition. Since all of my test videos had been created with older (pre-1.0) versions of OpenShot, I tried removing and reinserting the transitions and the crashing stopped. So I have concluded that transitions created in older (pre v 1.0) versions of OpenShot are not compatible with the new (v 1.0 and later) versions.

The help files are now accessible as expected from within the program.

The time line slider moves much better and the whole program seems smoother.

The only problem I see now is that audio is still broken up a bit when previewing in the program, but the finished saved file has good sound.

Congratulations on being included in the Lucid repository.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I'll look at older project files, and
see if I can fix the incompatibility. -Jonathan
