Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdevelop

When I press F9 to try and launch my project, it pops up a dialog that says
"The key sequence 'F9' is ambiguous. Use 'Configure Shortcuts'
from the 'Settings' menu to solve the ambiguity.
No action will be triggered."

When I use 'Configure Shortcuts' from the 'Settings' menu to solve the ambiguity by removing the assignment from "Show Folding Markers" (setting it to None or something else) then I can use it to launch once. Then it resets the assignment to Show Folding Markers back to F9. and I would have to fix it again.

Also present in Ubuntu 10.04 (admittedly via backports kdevelop). Seems to be related to

A workaround:

1. Click Settings -> Configure Shortcuts
2. Click the thin button labeled "Details >>"
3. Click "New..."
4. Go through the list and assign the shortcuts that you desire.

All shortcuts will be cleared in the new schema, though you can switch back and forth (for reference).

This happens to me in kdevelop 5.3.1. As a workaround, I copied the default shortcut scheme to a new scheme and then modified the shortcuts.

But after a few days using the new scheme, something crazy happened: Cursor keys, backspace and delete are out of function. When switching back to the default scheme (where I cannot reliably modify shortcuts) the keys work again. Very time consuming bug.
