i was installing, and it was in / instead of /home and fill up all the HDD

There's no space left on device. Please free some space and retry. I'm marking this report as duplicate of bug 312491 whch is the master report for this kind of issue.

hi,
but before install i use to have a lot space... and now the hdd is full...
also, i think the problem is that the installation is in / instead of /home
where there are much more space.

All the directories where stuff is installed to is fixed in Linux/Ubuntu, so it uses /boot, /lib, /usr, /var, /etc, .... and so on. /home is reserved for user home directories, i.e. your personal settings and documents.

Therefore you will need to somehow make more space available on the disk-partition that holds the other directories, Ubuntu can not simply use /home by itself.
