Chinese Chess engine hanged

On the 10th bout of its second game of Xiangqi, the engine appeared to hang. It still hasn't moved after 14 minutes and 22 seconds.
Moves were as follows:
1. 炮二平五 马8进7
2. 马二进三 车9平8
3. 车一平二 马2进3
4. 马八进七 卒3进1
5. 炮八进二 象3进1
6. 兵五进一 士6进5
7. 马三进五 将5平6
8. 车二进一 士5进4
9. 车二平四 将6平5
10. 炮五平六

Gmchess is version 0.20.2-0ubuntu, Ubuntu is version 9.10.

Can you try the package in this PPA? It contains a newer upstream release which fixed lots of bugs and have some other improvements.

Can you provide some feedback on trying that PPA? Latest 0.20.4 has been published and providing more enhancements and bug fixes.

Can not replicate in the new version, although it's hard to be sure because the engine doesn't play the same way as the old version

Thanks for your response, I will close this bug, if you find this problem still persist in the new version from PPA, please reopen this bug - 491762 or report another one.
Btw, 0.20.4 (the version in that PPA) will be in Ubuntu 10.04.
