Bug Description

Hi,

I noticed that the Genesis's applet has its second menu entry localized in the wrong language (see attached screenshot). This bug appeared while upgrading to the latest version.

Info on my system:
 - Ubuntu Karmic 32 bits
 - genesis-sync 0.4.2.1~intrepid1 (latest PPA package)
 - locale settings set to "en_GB.UTF-8"

Thanks,
Vivien

I can confirm it. The same applies to my computer with Ubuntu Karmic installed.

This is very very weird, it must be something wrong with the gettext translation for this language. I'll take a look.

Thank you for your bug report :-)

Hi!

I've reviewed the offending string in Rosetta and I've changed it to 'Special Synchronization'.

I'm a little confused because when Tomasz 'Zen' Napierala translated some strings to en_GB, he used 'synchronisation' instead of 'synchronization'. It seems that with the British dictionary from Firefox it's correct (although it sounds very bad for me), but with the American one it isn't. I don't know which of them is the correct form in en_GB, because I'm not a native English speaker. Could someone authoritative review my translation?

I've attached a corrected translation in the en_GB_LC_MESSAGES_genesis.mo file. Until it is released a new version of Genesis, you can update the current translation by renaming the attached file to genesis.mo, and replacing the file /usr/share/locale/en_GB/LC_MESSAGES/genesis.mo with the renamed file.

HTH!

Thanks David!

BTW, I am not a native English speaker either but en_US uses 'ize' whereas uses en_GB 'ise', so the correct spelling is in en_GB should be "synchronisation".
