This should be fixed in karmic-proposed

uim (1:1.5.6-0ubuntu1.1) karmic-proposed; urgency=low

  * 07_fix_configure_notoverwrite_po_makefile.dpatch: patch taken from Debian
    to avoid having 2 uim.mo in uim-qt3 and libuim-data (LP: #460280)
  * debian/uim-qt3.install: install uim-chardict-qt.mo instead of uim.mo

As you seem to be using the same version as the proposed fix, if you still have this problem with the version in karmic-proposed please add comments to the original bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/uim/+bug/460280

Hi,

It seems that the libuim-data is not up-to-date (version 1:1.5.6-0ubuntu1)

libuim-data is the package that got fixed, so it should be updated first. Anyway, with the previous packages, it was also impossible to install, so I would say that the previous version didn't installed.

Can you upgrading first libuim-data ?

Thanks,
Fabrice

Hi,

It seems that the libuim-data is not up-to-date (version
1:1.5.6-0ubuntu1)

libuim-data is the package that got fixed, so it should be updated
first. Anyway, with the previous packages, it was also impossible to
install, so I would say that the previous version didn't installed.

Can you upgrading first libuim-data ?
