Bug Description

Binary package hint: paprefs

It should be simple enough to patch paprefs to check for an owner of the org.freedesktop.PackageKit name before showing the "install" buttons. I'll get on to it.

This bug was fixed in the package paprefs - 0.9.9-2ubuntu1

---------------
paprefs (0.9.9-2ubuntu1) lucid; urgency=low

  * Sync on Debian unstable.
    + Patches in 0.9.9-2 fix pulseaudio module path skew (LP: #489506)
  * debian/patches/0004-Show-install-only-with-active-packagekit.patch
    + Show the install buttons only when PackageKit is running. Otherwise
      these buttons silently fail (LP: #489531). A functionally-equivalent
      patch is in upstream git; this can be dropped in the next upstream
      version.
