Delete recordings from Frontend causes hard lock and fails to remove

Mythbuntu 9.10 on combined front and backend AMD64 Sempron SATA 1 TB HDD new install.
Delete from Myth menu options doesn't remove recording
Delete from Mythweb shows removal but on page refresh recording re-appears.
Delete from Playback End Menu causes Hard Lock

Im also having the same issue. However Im able to delete a few recordings if I restart the backend, but after a while it gets "stuck" again. Im gona play around a little more when I have the time...

Turns out the the recordings are deleted after a while. Can be as long as a few minutes, depending on size (I guess). I've also seen somewhere there's a configuration for how to delete recordings (something like "delete recordings slowly").

If this is the same as the original bug description I wouldn't call it a bug, but it seem to have changed with the 9.10 release.

No i've tried both settings in "delete recordings slowly" doesn't help and
if I restart the backend the files re-appear. I've tried all available
settings in recording profiles like 'record new delete old' and even put a
limit on recordings to keep. It then deletes and shortly after I get a
hard lock and after rebooting the files are back. I've used the frontend
delete recordings option and i've tried deleting from the 'I' info option
all with the same result. I've deleted from the 'playback end menu' and
same again.

I'm stumped, the only reason I haven't tried a wipe and re-install is that I
have the 1TB HDD and so I can persevere with the problem until i fill the
disk then it's game over.

Thats odd. I wonder if you have a permissions problem on the recordings directory.

Are you part of the mythtv group?

Where is your recording directory?

What are the permissions and ownership on the recording directory?
