Bug Description

I used to be able to do the following - First I'd load SCiTE text editor, then browse to a directory in a seperate Nautilus window and select a few files. I could then drag these files up to top bar, hover over the SCiTE icon, which would cause the window to change to SCiTE, allowing me to release the mouse button and cause the files to open in seperate buffers for editing. Now when you drag the files over the icon nothing happens.

Just to prove this wasn't just SCiTE I tried dragging between two Nautilus windows and had the same non-effect.

Has this functionality been removed? It worked great in 8.04.

Thanks.

As a workaround, try unmaximising the two windows so portions of both are visible at the same time. You can double click on the window title in the panel or right-click and choose unmaximise. You can then drag from one window directly to visible part of the other.

I didn't even know that you could unmaximise the windows. That'll
work just fine, thanks.

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue , in the default Ubuntu 9.10 install , that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of the project.

Its either a bug or might be the case that this feature does not exist in window picker either way not a papercut

For further info about papercuts criteria , pls read > https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut

Don't worry though, This bug has been marked as "invalid" ONLY in the papercuts project.
