Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

Since I upgraded to Karmic Koala, my MSI Wind laptop screen keeps flickering after startup. There's a brightness slider in the top right, so I suppose it's trying to adjust the brightness of the screen and it can't decide between 80% or 90% so it keeps changing between the two. This lasts for a couple of minutes, then it stops flickering.

Thanks. I had searched for the bug but I didn't find 415023, probably because I didn't use the right keywords.

What I did is just removed power manager, that stopped the flickering for
me.
