Bug Description
Binary package hint: bridge-utils
$ ls -l /etc/network/
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 35 2009-07-25 08:04 /etc/network/
If /usr is a separate partition (on NFS, but possibly otherwise), it won't be mounted when the kernel initializes a network interface. In this case, /etc/network/
