Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

I've been trying to connect ubuntu one server through my ubuntu folder, but it simply doesn't work. And also cannot upload files by ubuntu one website.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Hi, We've seen this error for at least one user and it appears to be tied to the python-turkish locale, if not others. The current workaround is to run syncdaemon with a different locale:

$> LANG=en_US.UTF-8 /usr/lib/ubuntuone-client/ubuntuone-syncdaemon

That will start the Ubuntu One syncdaemon with the US English locale. This is a bug in how Python handles certain locales.

Also, I think you're being affected by bug 455544 which occurs when the bandwidth preferences are set to the defaults. If you delete ~/.config/ubuntuone/syncdaemon.conf and restart the Ubuntu One client in addition to starting syncdaemon with a different locale (as detailed in the previous comment) you should be able to connect.
