Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

Files are syncing properly and interface is not consistently responding.

Icon on the taskbar shows as connected and will not respond to disconnect.

However on nautilus it shows me the option connect which will not connect or respond to this action.

So I am stuck without synced files, and showed as connected and disconnected at the same time, without being able to change in any sense.

Hi,

I'm also having a problem with Ubuntu One that has these symptoms. I've been using Ubuntu one to synchronize my course work between my laptop and desktop. Its acting very hikle de pickelty. The top bar says its connected and It wont update files or disconnect. The button in the Ubuntu one folder says it isn't connected and won't respond to being clicked. And I looked on the Ubuntu one website at the files and most of the ones that where there working fine a while ago are not there at all. So now I have 3 completely different sets of files and nothing wants to update on either computer :S

please help D: I am subscribed to the report and so will be responding relativity fast.

Cheers,
Jason Fletcher

Could this be related in anyway to Bug #456629
Because now I'm having those problems as well as these problems. Maybe the bugs are caused by the same problem?

Hi Jason. I am sorry to hear that Ubuntu One is not working for you. As this report is in related to older packages, please file a new bug report.
This can be done by running "ubuntu-bug ubuntuone-client" (without the quotes) from a terminal window or by right-clicking the ubuntuone applet & selecting "Report a problem".
Thanks in advance!

Hi Mitch,

I am sorry but I am not using Ubuntu One anymore, so I cannot tell you if it still happens. I can tell you this was something that was not happening always or in an easy to predict way. It was at least 1 or 2 releases ago, so it may have changed already.

Maybe someone else can comment on the issue.

Thanks for the follow-up, but sadly I stopped using Ubuntu-One because of
this issue. I have switched to another free file syncing software and it
works every time.

David.
