Bug Description

Binary package hint: cairo-dock

Cairo-dock has to rendering modes: Cairo and OpenGL

When using Cairo, I can see the Clock and the Music applet. No problem there.

When using OpenGL, the applets are not rendered, so it shows a blank space.

Using Ubuntu Karmic and Cairo-dock 2.1.1 from cairo-dock-team ppa

Hi, which drivers do you have ?
can you try with
cairo-dock -o -i ?
alternatively, you can :
- not show the seconds for Clock
- not use 3D themes dor MP
- detach them on the desktop

This screenshot uses -i , I think it solves the problem

The problem persists. Karmic, latest cairo-dock from PPA, radeon driver. Applets are invisible, their labels are ok, though, as seen in the following screenshot.

Yes we know about that, it's ati driver's related.
Attached is a output debug using an ATI Radeon 9600
The important message is not there, it was in the console : 'Instruction 'glx_create_pbuffer' unavailable' or something like that
We need to report it upstream

Hello,

Thanks to have reported this bug but it seems that the problem is the same as bug #428900 .
So I think that the problem is due to a lack of pbuffer' support by mesa.

PS: you can have a look to this web page : http://www.cairo-dock.org/ww_page.php?p=ATI%20cards&lang=en
There are some tips and tricks and other workarounds ;)
