Cannot switch user with fglrx driver

Bug Description

Switching user has the same effect as locking screen. This behaviour happens both with gnome and kde.
When clicking on "switch user", the screen becomes black and when moving the mouse, the "Unlock screen" dialog appears.

Exact same issue for me.
Just wanting to add that selecting "Guest Session" has the same effect too.

Attaching the Xorg log file, which shows that fglrx is indeed crashing and preventing a new session from starting.

test if it still occurs on Lucid?

Sorry I don't use Ubuntu anymore. I can only say that it works on OpenSuse 11.2 !

I am experiencing this with Lucid. It only started recently.
I cannot switch users without logging off first.
I also cannot use Alt-F1, Alt-F2, etc., to switch virtual consoles.
