HDMI video output trouble on my Acer L5100 - only DVI-VGA video output works in 9.10

Bug Description

Binary package hint: x11-xserver-utils

In 9.04 there was HDMI video output, but in 9.10 there is no HDMI video output. I have to use the DVI video output (second video output) on my Acer L5100. I have attached an old VGA monitor with the Acer DVI-VGA interface. This gives video, but I prefer the HDMI video output on a bigger screen (46 inch).

In Windows Vista there is no problem. Vista sees 2 monitors and uses them both as expanded desktop screen (dual video out).

I desire full HDMI support (video 1920-1080 and audio through 1 cable). I was better of with 9.04 (although no HDMI sound and no maximum screen resolution), but I keep trying and testing in 9.10 (AMD 64 bits version).

Kind regards, Robert

Hi Robert,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? (ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/)

If it remains an issue, could you also attach a new /var/log/Xorg.0.log?
Thanks in advance.
