Bug Description

Binary package hint: nvidia-common

Followed normal update procedure. Exited with error but upon running 'apt-cache policy nvidia-common' I noticed that the system was reporting I have the new version installed anyway.
Go figure.

Here is the error:

The cause with me seems to be another issue. I'm afraid I don't manager to understand the inner workings of what's happening here. Feel free to ping me if I can provide extra data.

Error today on first update manager session following a clean (re)installation from desktop CD of Ubuntu 9.10 downloaded a week or so after release.
