HP LaserJet P5 network printing problem

Hallo,

I'm already testing Dapper on my laptop. And I've got a problem with printing. I've got a HP LaserJet P5, that is connected to my lokal server named "srv-master" (192.168.0.1). This printer is given free for using in my network. In Breezy (5x Workstations) the printer works with exact the same settings.

I didn't do a "dist-upgrade" but I installed Dapper form CD (Release-Candidate).

I formated "/" and "/home" to get right of my waste in my homedir, so alle my settings are made under Dapper.

Please add your /var/log/cups/error_log.

My guess is that your problems would be fixed if you add:

deb http://www.grad.hr/~ivoks/ubuntu/cups

to /etc/apt/sources.list, do an apt-get update, followd by apt-get dist-upgrade. There is confirmed bug in 1.2 CUPS with network printing. These are 1.2.1 CUPS packages for dapper. Please, report your results.

What's the status of this bug? PCP is there any progress/regression?

My Bug isn`t anymore acctually since 01.06 when DAPPER got stable.

My Printer works now without problems.
