No sound card after 9.04 to 9.10 upgrade

-I upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10.
-I had sound in 9.04
-I used the "system testing" for sound to report this

# aplay -l
aplay: device_list:223: aucune carte son trouvée..." (no sound card found)

I have the same issue. No sound card is found after upgrading from 9.04 to 9.10.

This turned out to be an issue of using the 9.04 Kernel. See bug #468496
