You are using an invalid hostname. To look what makes a valid hostname, please see:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hostname#Restrictions_on_valid_host_names

Hi Chuck,

Thanks! I corrected my hostname in hosts, hostname and the postfix
main.cfand restarted postfix.

Working fine now.

Thanks for the help to a Ubuntu newbie!
