Bug Description

X crashes because of the combination of ATI/AMD HD 3650 and 4 GB Ram.
If I install 4 GB, Ubuntu boots and the console-login blinks with ca. 1 Hz. I looked around in the internet and found, that this is an kernel issue (look at the suse - ML). The issue is the same with frglx, radeonHD and so on.
Please take a look into the forums, where this issue is discussed:

Computer:
Core2Duo T6400
4GB Ram (2 installed because it has to run)
ATI/AMD Radeon HD 3650 mobility
I found a lot of people with different combinations of hardware. It seems, that only the combination of the not so old Radeons and 4 GB Ram is the problem of estimating the MTRR value. This value is estimated wrong by default (please see link the Suse ML above!)

Thanks to you all in advance ...
